“I grew up on the family farm north of Brookings, SD. After high school I attended South Dakota State University where I met my wife, Christine. I transferred to the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) in New York and graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. After working in New York for a few years, we decided to move back and join the family business, Pickard Insurance Services. While my love for cooking lead me to NY, there has always been a fascinating link between table and earth. Helping you protect what you have toiled for is what I find very rewarding!

Christine and I had our first child in 07 (Conrad) and the other two in 09 (Johanna), and 2011 (Alexis).  Outside of work I enjoy endurance sports (ironman, marathon and ultra-marathon running), hunting, and being outdoors.”
