“I was raised on a farm and have farmed all my life and am still farming on a very small scale. I served our country during Vietnam in Army Aviation. Following the military, I worked for Cotton & Company in Volga, SD, a grain elevator company serving nine communities. At that time, I married Sylvia Tschetter (we’ve been married 50 years now!), and shortly after that started farming. We were blessed with four children. Three of them help in the insurance business and one serves in Russia helping the Russian people. I’ve served on two school boards, county commission, and several other boards. My wife is a nurse and is currently a nursing instructor at South Dakota State University. We have been involved in crop insurance for 17 years, serving farm and ranchers in this region.

I have five grandchildren who do their best to keep me busy. I enjoy playing trumpet in the community band and piano at our church as well as spending time outdoors and tinkering on different projects at my farm.

Our family has a passion to serving people, and I’d enjoy the opportunity to service your insurance needs.”
